NIG International Symposium 2016 + ROIS Event
and Toyoda Physical & Chemical Research Institute Workshop

Japan q-bio week (Jan/8/2016~Jan/13/2016)

We will have a series of international symposiums and workshops (Japan q-bio week) in place of the FY2015 annual meeting of the Japanese Society for Quantitative Biology, starting from Jan/8/2016 to Jan/13/2016. Most symposiums and workshops will be held as NIG International Symposium 2016. All symposiums and workshops are organized by the core-members of Japanese Society for Quantitative Biology.

Two symposiums, one in Tokyo and the other in Mishima, share a common list of speakers invited from around the world. These symposiums have different sets of domestic invited speakers and most likely have different sets of poster presentations. You can experience the essence of “Japan Q-Bio week” in each symposium. By participating in both symposiums, you can enjoy more of diverse research areas that quantitative biology impacts on.

Entropy, Information & Control

  • Aim: Discussing how to bridge experiment and theory in quantitative biology. Discussing recent theoretical advancements on how “entropy”, “information”, “control”, and “fitness” are mutually related.
    目的: 定量的な生命現象の理解に貢献するであろう概念や理論(エントロピー、情報理論、制御、非平衡統計力学、情報熱力学、適応・進化学など)についての発表が行われます。
